WORSHIP Jesus
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died on a Roman cross to be our Savior and defeated death to be our living Lord. He said He came to do this to create a people who worship Him “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23-24). “In spirit” means we worship Jesus wherever we are and with what we are becoming in Him. Worshipping God does not require a building or a “mountain” but a heart that has learned to treasure Jesus everyday. “In truth” means that we learn more about who Jesus is, what He is like and what it means to follow Him in our life. In short, worshipping Jesus is about theological reflection and personal application of the world changing revelation that Jesus in fact is the Son of God.
WALK in Community
The natural result of knowing and worshipping Jesus is to become more involved with the lives of people He has created; to experience and to practice the love we receive in Jesus. Jesus is building a worldwide community of worshippers who pray together, learn together, serve together, eat together and reach out to unchurched people together (Acts 2:42-47). Simply put, our priority is to “do life together” in the name of Jesus. Practically we “walk in community” through small group participation and serving on teams that make our ministry effective.
WORK for People
Jesus called His worldwide community “the light of the world” (Matthew 5:13-16). Therefore, as a result of worshipping Jesus, and walking in His community, we want to serve sinful humanity trapped in bondage and despair (Mark 10:45). He humbled Himself by dying on a cross to set people free (Philippians 2:4-11). Based on this "incarnational” example we too want to practice love and bold humility in our families, our local neighborhoods, our local church, and our jobs in the workplace.
